Our research method.

Our learner happiness surveys aren't guesswork. They're built on rigorous research, co-created with learners and educators, and validated by The London School of Economics.

  1. Built with learners.

Our Learner Advisory Boards shape every question. Secondary school learners design the survey for schools. College learners design the survey for colleges.

The result? Questions that speak to what affects learners today.

2. Built with educators.

Trailblazing teachers help us capture what matters most, from fundamental aspects of school/college life to evidence for Ofsted inspections.

Our educators need the truth. And need it clearly. We are laser-focused on happiness for them.

No endless data. No dashboards. No logins.

3. Partnered With The London School of Economics.

The LSE Centre for Economic Performance ensures our survey ethics are gold standard. They validate that we're measuring what matters: genuine learner happiness and wellbeing.

4. Analysed By Humans, Not AI.

Our learners are human. So are our teachers. So are our analysts.

We don't guess about what makes learners thrive, we measure it using proven psychology and neuroscience.

Our core belief: School environments and relationships profoundly shape student wellbeing. Happiness and success can be developed, not fixed.

5. THe science behind our approach.

Positive Psychology – the science of human flourishing.

PERMA Model – wellbeing through positive emotion, engagement, relationships, meaning, and accomplishment.

Self-Determination Theory – students need autonomy, competence, and connection to thrive.

Maslow's Hierarchy – safety is the foundation; students can't learn when they don't feel safe.

Broaden-and-Build Theory – how positive emotions expand thinking and build resilience.

Neuroscience – how recognition and positive experiences strengthen learning pathways.

Every insight is backed by decades of research showing happier learners perform better academically, attend more regularly, and build stronger resilience.
