UK young people rank lowest in happiness across Europe. Yet we know happy learners achieve more. That's why we're changing education.
About us
Why Learner Happiness?
Declining happiness and falling education standards are intertwined. Rising absenteeism. Declining mental health. The effects of ignoring learner wellbeing are here.
So we asked the experts: learners themselves.
Our Approach.
We created Learner Advisory Boards with young people across the UK. We listened. We partnered with positive psychology researchers and happiness scientists. And we built something practical.
A 10-minute survey that pinpoints what makes learners happy—and what holds them back. An award to recognise you.
Why It Matters?
We're not chasing impossible happiness. We're identifying what schools and colleges can actually change. The policies, systems, and environments that help learners thrive.
Because happier learners stay in education longer, engage more deeply, and achieve better outcomes. And happier learners create happier teachers.
Proven Results.
After surveying over 3,000 students across 15+ institutions (one of the UK's largest learner happiness studies), we partnered with The London School of Economics.
Today, our LSE-backed surveys, professional analysis, and educator community are available to secondary schools, sixth forms, and FE colleges nationwide. What’s included.
